Often in creative nonfiction, writers must write about the “emotional truth” of an event. Generally, two people have different feelings about the same person, event, experience. And so, it is said that the writer is not making up details or fabricating a story when writing about the emotional truth. Please discuss and explain why you agree or disagree with this notion. Can you think of any texts that you have read where the writer employs emotional truth?
