Ponyboy Curtis is a 14-year-old boy whose world has been turned upside down. His parents were killed in an automobile accident just eight months before The Outsiders story takes place. He lives with his oldest brother, Darry, who is 20 years old and has legal custody of him and his other brother, Sodapop, who is 16.

is an external conflict between the character and an animal or a force of nature, like a tornado,a storm or even a rain. a great example of this is ernest hemingway´s "the old man and the sea" in which the main character struggle with a marlin when he was fishing.

person against self

in this case the conflict is internal, the character must overcome her or his own nature or make a choice between two paths.

Well based on the summary, the setting plays a big role in char. development since the cat has been spoiled and babied her whole life she has to figure out how to survive on there own for the first time. and since winter is coming the cat is faced with lots of dangers and troubles. but, like you said with the storm that brought an invasion of rats, since she is a cat shell figure out how to kill and get food and the storm is the best way to learn right. can you mark me brainliest pls! read more on -
