For many years, I had a glove that I loved to use. It was broken-in perfectly—not stiff at all. Unfortunately, the glove fell apart during a game. So, I found myself needing to break in a new one. I researched several methods for doing this and chose the best one for the job. Here’s the method that I found works the best:

After washing your hands, start applying glove oil all over your glove with a cloth. You need to really work on the area around the pocket and along the laces. Allow the glove to dry before going on to the next step.

Now, place a baseball or softball in the pocket of the glove. Then wrap it with rubber bands to keep it in place. You still might end up with creases in your glove. To solve this problem, you should be careful not to wrap the glove too tightly or allow the bands to be too loose.
