Explain in detail why this is a good example of a conclusionparagraph, and if it is not, explain why. To conclude this essay, symbolism is primarily used in many novels, as in the one being addressed, The Great Gatsby, to discuss important themes within a novel. Symbolism in The Great Gatsby introduces themes such as The American Dream, the pursuit of wealth and power, and hopes and dreams. We discover in the end that, while it's not impossible, the American Dream is unrealistic. It's a very difficult pursuit that does not necessarily ensure a positive and successful result. It's really similar to how the green light tells us how something can appear so close, but whether it's love, money, success, or something else, it's simply out of our grasp.
