I cannot be sure, because we have no context. However, from what I understand, the first sentence is an example of a transition sentence for your second body paragraph. It basically is saying that people hide their emotions and feelings.

The prompt is telling you to explain why people would do so.

Since the prompt is to write about why people choose to hide their true emotions, maybe you can first elaborate on what these people are feeling (if you are doing this on a specific topic) and how it's possible they don't want to show their feelings in fear of feeling exposed and vulnerable. Perhaps people don't show others what they're feeling because it's a privilege they aren't ready to share with certain people.

This is really about your interpretation, so it's important that you use what you know about humans and logic. I just gave an example, but you will have to write more on it and explain it in detail if you choose to use it.

the author is showing that it is the insatisfaction of basic needs that brings about the protests such as the strikes.if workers do not earn enough to buy food and feed their families and themselves in order to continue working, what is the use of working? besides, another message from the author is that of the owners of factories should be worried about ensuring their furure by having a second and third generation of workers in their industries.if they do not hear the workers demands, they will not have any more workers to make their pockets full.

3. i'm really not sure about this one i'm really sorry i never read it so i wouldn't know how to answer it. 

4. it would be character vs. society because everyone he meets there is always a conflict of some sort because he's stuck in his daydream.

5. it would be sadness at the loss of youth because the title itself tells us it's about age so it couldn't be about regret. and the tone just sounds sad, not angry.
