FR POINT For anyone who has ever fought or even lost a friend due to a fight, copy this and edit it so it fits your story and send it to them <3 <3 My best friend and I had a huge fig. ht the other night over text, and it was the worst we have ever fou. ght and I still can't believe that I said the things I did. I wrote her this poem... what do you think of it???

You are my best friend,
How much you mean to me?
You are my book, my savior, my key.

You are my diary, in which I daily write,
You are my star; you bring me to light.

No matter how much we fig. ht,
I’ll always be by your side,
We’ve simply been through too much,
To let what we have slide.

For years you’ve put up with me;
You’re my best friend,
I can always count on you,
I didn’t mean to offend.

Oh, dear friend, please forgive me if I hurt you,
Oh, dear friend, please forget my mistakes as I do.
Oh, dear friend, please be with me as I’m with you,
Oh, dear friend, I will always love you.

You are my one true sister,
That’s a guarantee,
You’re very smart, supportive,
And sooo trustworthy.

You’re funny, unique, inspiring too,
Brave, confident; just about anything will do.
You’re a role model to me; you never cease to amaze,
You’re humble, compassionate... I can go on for days.

Rain, shine, cold or hot,
You’re always there for me, on the dot.
I love you, and you love me,
We’re meant to be together, for the rest of eternity.

Dear ,
I’m not just asking you to forgive, but I am enlightening you on just how much you mean to me. You are my sister, I know you’ve heard it before, but this time I mean it, and every time before. What I did was wrong, I know I can’t deny, but I didn’t mean a single word, and could never say goodbye. You mean the world to me, that is a fact, and the things I said, was like my heart got hack. ed. I am going through some things, but that is no excuse, my whole life right now, feels like it’s all ab. use. Day by day, night by night, I know you’ll always be there for me no matter the sight. We both have equal talents, and I am so proud, of the women you have become, I’m crying out loud. I have imagined our weddings, time and time again, you, and me, that’s how it always ends. No matter how big a fight, or what the circumstance, I will always forgive you, there’ll always be a second chance. Remember that now, from here on out, you and me, I can’t live without. I love you to the moon and back, and will cherish our memories as I hit the sack. I simply cannot live without you, and I promise one day we’ll get matching tattoos. Now whenever we have a bad day, our tears, our pain, it’ll all fade away. Knowing I’ll always have you by my side, that’s the goal, when my life will unwind. I have, do, and always will love you, , with all my heart. If I ever lost you, I can’t even imagine. Life without you… that just couldn’t possibly happen.
Love, your BFF <3

Read the passage. excerpt from "why equal pay is worth fighting for" by senator elizabeth warren, april 17, 2014 i honestly can't believe that we're still arguing over equal pay in 2014. when i started teaching elementary school after college, the public school district didn't hide the fact that it had two pay scales: one for men and one for women. women have made incredible strides since then. but 40 years later, we're still debating equal pay for equal work. women today still earn only 77 cents for every dollar a man earns, and they're taking a hit in nearly every occupation. bloomberg analyzed census data and found that median earnings for women were lower than those for men in 264 of 265 major occupation categories. in 99.6 percent of occupations, men get paid more than women. that's not an accident; that's discrimination. the effects of this discrimination are real, and they are long lasting. today, more young women go to college than men, but unequal pay makes it harder for them to pay back student loans. pay inequality also means a tougher retirement for women. . for middle-class families today, it usually takes two incomes to get by, and many families depend as much on mom's salary as they do on dad's, if not more. women are the main breadwinners, or joint breadwinners, in two-thirds of the families across the country, and pay discrimination makes it that much harder for these families to stay afloat. women are ready to fight back against pay discrimination, but it's not easy. today, a woman can get fired for asking the guy across the hall how much money he makes. here in the senate, sen. barbara mikulski (d-md.) introduced the paycheck fairness act to give women the tools to combat wage discrimination. it would ensure that salary differences have something to do with the actual job that they are doing, and not just because they are women. senator warren states that the effects of pay discrimination are long-lasting. is this a valid argument supported by accurate evidence? no; warren weakens her point by claiming that the paycheck fairness act would "give women the tools to combat wage discrimination." yes; warren supports her point by noting, "for middle-class families today, it usually takes two incomes to get by." yes; warren supports her point by noting, "pay inequality also means a tougher retirement for women." no; warren weakens her point by noting, "today, a woman can get fired for asking the guy across the hall how much money he makes."

Have you ever thought you understood a person based on a story that you have heard about them? have you ever guessed about a person's personal life because of the clothes they wore? or, have you judged a person because of their friends? although classifying people in this way is typically discouraged, authors deliberately use your preconceived ideas to you form an opinion about the character or to at least have a better understanding. can you think of a time that you made a character call about someone based on external aspects? were you correct, or incorrect? has anyone ever made an incorrect assessment of you based on external aspects? write two paragraphs about it in your journal.
