Can someone write a thesis? I wrote this first part. The act of Love In this essay I will be talking about “love” of which the characters went through in the story of The God of Small Things. Love is a powerful and uncontrollable force that cannot be suppressed. Society sometimes seeks to destroy love, which is why in the story love is connected to loss, death and sadness. Love is an emotion that can be explained in terms of two peoples cultural backgrounds and political identities. In the story the main character is Ammu, an independent woman and mother who experienced love that is forbidden. Her children Estha and Rahel, the twins and protagonists, have a special love between them and they share a bond that no other characters have. Velutha who is Estha and Rahel's best friend is in love with their mother.
