Write a rough draft for your essay about an author whose text you have recently read in class (or one of your choosing) whose work incorporates experiences or key ideas that are central to the author's culture. Your rough draft should be at least 300-500 words exploring the ways in which the work reflects the author’s cultural context. Examples of cultural context or influence include topics such as arranged marriage, religious influence, forms of government, or regional or ethnic values. Information to be included:

author's biographical information
author's position and contribution to country of origin
key ideas and passages from author's work that support thesis
reflective conclusion about the author and his/her contribution to literature
Remember your draft should be supported with research from at least six credible sources and record the documentation information needed for your citations.
