When campaigns for student council began, Lashandra was excited to run for class secretary. Her capable performance in role of class
representative for the past two years meant she could now hold a higher office. For months, Lashandra would rush home and write letters to
teachers and students asking for their support. She designed campaign signs to hang in the main hall. She called fellow classmates to ask for their
votes. Her efforts to win proved successful. Her victory proved that many in the school community believed she would make a competent class
secretary
