You are trying to be a good opinion columnist for your own organization's newsletter. Hence, you
collected five opinion columns of a regular columnist in one of the country's major broadsheets. For each
column, you searched for the claims and their perspective proof/evidence. You highlighted that claims that
have proof. Afterwards, you wrote a short reflection to answer your editor in chief's question: "Should this
writer be emulated for being a responsible columnist?”
Since your answer will be a claim in itself, you need to show the highlighted columns as proof/evidence.
Your editor in chief will be satisfied with your evaluation if you can identify the claims and proof/evidence
correctly and if your opinions about the writer's capabilities are tactful, objective, and accurate. Do not forget to
polish your work for grammar, mechanics, and spelling before submitting it.

What if the author had used “looked at” instead? punishment would be deemphasized. punishments would be seen as less harsh. the meaning wouldn't change.
