The next day, he feels like Mrs. Baker did something to his desk so he asks a fellow student, Meryl Lee, to check for him, but it results in her getting mad. At recess, he is forced to play soccer and trips Doug Swieteck's brother. He will be back at school in ten days. An announcement comes later that Mrs. Baker's husband, Tybalt Baker, would be brought to Vietnam soon.
