he is brave, loyal, and unnaturally strong, and he leaves a great legacy for his people. he goes on a great journey, defeats monsters, and has supernatural .

beowulf isn't a hero; he brags too much.

beowulf is a geat who travels to denmark and defeats a huge demon for the king there. the king's warriors are angry that beowulf did the job they could not do.
