I would contend that the right answer is the A) Character versus self.  

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that it is her own (baseless) insecurity, self-conciousness, and fear of failure the ones that are preventing Claire from trying to achieve the type of "flawless dive" that she longs for and that her brother has achieved, which reflects a character versus self conflict. She is not critical with her brother, although she recognizes that it took him a while to learn it, so the conflict is not between them. In addition, although she is afraid of making a fool of herself in front of the swimmers, the conflict is arguably not between her and society.
