Write a paragraph comparing the theme of ozymandias with ecclesiastes 2: 4-11:

in ecclesiastes 2: 4-11, we encounter the story of a man who enjoyed enormous success. he amassed a great fortune, owned a lot of property and did everything he wanted to do. he also built great projects. however, at the end of his life, he realized that all of this was meaningless. he ends by saying that "everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun." in the poem "ozymandias," we encounter the remains of the works built by a powerful egyptian king. despite his efforts, money and power, everything he built was destroyed. both texts deal with the fact that everything that we acquire during our life will eventually be forgotten and destroyed. all material possessions are "like the wind," because they cannot endure the test of time.
