i wandered lonely as a cloud
by william wordsworth

i wandered lonely as a cloud
that floats on high o'er vales and hills,
when all at once i saw a crowd,
a host, of golden daffodils;
beside the lake, beneath the trees,
fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

continuous as the stars that shine
and twinkle on the milky way,
they stretched in never-ending line
along the margin of a bay:
ten thousand saw i at a glance,
tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

the waves beside them danced; but they
out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
a poet could not but be gay,
in such a jocund company:
i gazed—and gazed—but little thought
what wealth the show to me had brought:

for oft, when on my couch i lie
in vacant or in pensive mood,
they flash upon that inward eye
which is the bliss of solitude;
and then my heart with pleasure fills,
and dances with the daffodils.

the friends that don’t talk to me

today i walked alone all the way around the lake near my house. my path led through an old forest, and as i passed the enormous trunks of the trees, i felt as though i should respect their silence by being quiet myself. on the other side of the lake, the path emerged from the trees, and there was nothing but grass.
then i came around a little hill and suddenly there were hundreds of canada geese looking at me. i stayed still and quiet, hoping they wouldn’t fly away, and they didn’t. after a while they just went back to what they were doing. the more they ignored me, the more i felt that i was among friends.

Plz me asap select the correct text in the passage. which two sentences in the passage introduce counterarguments to the speaker’s position in favor of recycling? we only have a limited number of resources to serve humans around the globe. by recycling and reusing the resources we have, we can preserve what untouched natural resources we have while extending the life of the resources we’re currently using. admittedly, we cannot reuse or recycle all of the materials we use in our daily lives.some materials are not recyclable, such as certain food containers.others items are not biodegradable regardless of what we reuse them for, and that can create problems in the long run. my opponent would use these limitations of our ability to recycle to counter my points about the materials we can recycle.however, this is not an “all or nothing” scenario.we should reuse and recycle the materials that we can and try our best not to buy materials and products that can’t be reused or recycled.by doing our part and encouraging others to do their part, we can increase our chances of conserving our remaining natural and manmade resources over time.
