Secrecy

Friar Laurence is explaining what happened. The Prince has come to the tomb after hearing that Romeo and Juliet's bodies were found. The Prince asks for an explanation and Friar Laurence is the only one who can truly tell the whole story of what happened at this point. The secrecy of Romeo and Juliet's love contributed to this catastrophe because instead of coming clean and telling everyone about their love for each other and their marriage, they decided to end their lives.
