The best type of satire used by Twain in chapter 10 and 11 is Burlesque. A technique that writers use to expose the hypocricy, weakness, foolishness or corruption of an individual or society by using humour, with irony or sarcasm is called satire. Mark Twain used satire in his books to address controversial or taboo. When Huck runs away and encounters Jim, who illegally escaped his enslavement, he initially feels conflicted about supporting Jim. It is satirical because, in Huch's society, it was against the law to enslave a white person, but not a black person. The town people resort to misdeeds in an attempt to acquire the gold, even though it didn't belong to them. Twain satirizes that it is human nature to have and give in to temptations and that even people of high integrity have their weaknesses.
"Am a magician and attempt to modernize the past" that is how he used the technology of his time to trick people. Here Twain satirizing the romantic ideas of fairness and idealization of the middle ages, which was a favourite theme in novels written during his time.
