This seems like a tricky question that needs to take into consideration different factors. In the first place, we are talking about a politician that is used to give speeches to great audiences, therefore we can say that he/she wouldn't be nervous. Here we are talking about a very important speech, that means it is a special occasion that is not seen on a daily basis.

Based on that I would say that the best method for the politician to deliver the speech is: a) memorized.

When memorizing a speech the speaker has the advantage that he can make eye contact with the audience as well as gestures that will make them react depending on the subject. The comunication seems direct and without hesitation, in this way the politician would seem as an expert on the topic, knowing exactly what to say and how to say it. In a presentation with thousands of people there won't be direct interaction between the audience and the speaker, the audience limits itself to listen and react. Although it is difficult to memorize an entire speech and say it without any problems, we asume the politician is an expert an will practice a lot before the meeting.

The other option that could be used is the c) extemporaneus in which the speaker has notes and the idea of the speech is well defined. This helps to have a more natural tone and to interact with the audience at the same time that gives the impression of professionalism. I didn't choose this one because of the amount of people receiving the message.  

being judged by your physical appearance, gender, age or race has been a problem for many people around the world. we all have experienced segregation or rejection at some moment in our life. i   am not the exception. i am an overweight latin girl, two characteristics that do not me very much in a bullying society. i am an excellent student, speak beside my native language – spanish, english and i am currently studying portuguese. once there was a job opening for an international company. i was the perfect candidate for the position. i fulfilled all the requirements to get the job. yes, because of my   curriculum i was called for an interview. the same day, other candidates were appointed too.   i simply said to myself: this is for you, no one else is as prepared as you are, besides, you are smart, honest, responsible and reliable.

the recruiter called me, it was a middle age man, demanding looking one. as soon as he saw me entering the room he looked at me and said: “i am sorry, you are not the type of person we are looking for. it is for the reception and we need someone with different physical appearance”  

i felt like if a train had run over me. i felt miserable. he didn´t even asked me a question nor check on my skills! a pretty face and a perfect body was just as perfect for the position.
