Read the passage below: Is there anything worse than realizing that it's only 4th period and you're starving for a decent lunch? The only thing worse is remembering that lunch was already served, but there was nothing offered that you could eat. Each year, thousands of dollars are spent designing lunch programs for schools where they consider everything from budgets to, calories, to peanut allergies. The problem is, very little thought is put into what alternatives are offered to vegetarian students. I cannot count the number of times the vegetarian selection at my school has amounted to little more than a dry roll and green beans out of a can. I am forced to practically starve while my classmates dig in to hearty meals. School lunches must be revised to provide filling, healthy, tasty alternatives for vegetarian students.
