Write an alternative beginning and ending (two short stories) for “The Lady of Shalott".

1. Within your short story tell me HOW she got into the position she is
in (isolation). Was she put there? If so-why? Did she decide to be
there-punishing herself? If so-for what?
I Why does she have to weave? Could there be something else she
would either choose to do or have as a punishment?

2. Within your short story tell me her adventure of escaping the castle.
How did she get out? Was there anything standing in her way or
did she leave with ease? Describe her adventures as she goes to
the boat-add adventures of her traveling down the river. What if she
did not die-what would happen? Use your imagination!!
