But Jesse Owen destroyed the goals of Hitler by showing that a Black man can break a record with the eyes of the world upon him.

He used the Olympics as a way of showing his country in a good light and to mask his racist policies. He hated blacks and didn't even shake hands with the blacks that won medals during the Olympics.

Jesse Owens broke the record by being the first American to win four medals in the field and track categories of the Olympics. He showed the world that a black man has all it takes to be at the top. Owens' victory paved way for other stars that followed.
