"The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain" was an essay written by Langston Hughes. The main point of this essay is to explain the position of blacks when it comes to their dreams. It isn't just with art, it refers to any dream of black people, such as medical, economic, or even political. This essay doesn't just cover how black people are judged. It describes how they feel because of the discrimination. If white people weren't bringing them down, then they could feel more confident about their goals. The black people who wish to paint follow their dreams with a lot of doubt, but they do it anyway because they believe in themselves just enough to do so. Racism is a huge obstacle for black artists who wish for others to recognize their work. This isn't just part of their job, but it's part of a racial dispute because of their color.
