(2)Many young men think it is cool to chew tobacco because they see professional athletes doing so. (3)However, they may not know that chewing tobacco contains grit and sand, as well as sugars to improve the taste. (4), it causes tooth decay and tooth loss. (5)In addition, it can cause gum disease. (6)Finally, those who regularly chew tobacco have fifty times the risk of developing cancer than do nonusers.
