1] After seeing “Surfing Days,” starring Toby Major and Ava LaVar, you might just change you mind about becoming a surfer. The movie is based on the successful book of the same name and it is the fourth movie in the surfing series. [2] The film starts out with Tab (played by Toby Major) and Tina (played by Ava LaVar), enjoying the sunshine and waiting to catch a big wave on a California beach. The two are making the most of their relaxing vacation, indulging in plenty of surfing, sunbathing, and lazy picnics on the beach. While swimming out to sea on her board, Tina discovers a briefcase floating in the water. Giving up surfing for the day, the two return to shore and examine the case. They discover stacks of $100 bills. Then an adventure begins. They see a small boat circling the cove and overhear the robbers talking about the missing briefcase. When Tab and Tina try to return to shore to call the police, the robbers catch them. As the adventure goes on, the two young surfers find a way to escape and help the police catch the robbers.

[3] “Surfing Days” has been attracting huge audiences thanks to clever writing and the fine acting. There are some wonderful scenes as they surf along the coast. Toby and Ava do their own surfing. Both young stars have been surfing since they were very young. “To me, it’s easier than walking,” Ava told talk show host Joe Young in an interview last week.

[4] Both the book and the movie end with Tab and Tina catching the bank robbers. The police give them a reward. Just what do you think they do with the money? It should come as no surprise that they buy new surfboards and get back in the ocean to catch the last wave of the day.
