The houses of Montague and Capulet should have agreed and reconciled at some point out of the many times they were called by Prince Escalus to settle their feud. If the messenger was able to reach Romeo before his cousin who informed him of Juliet's death, the tragedy would not have happened.

If I was the character Romeo I wouldn't be falling in love like that. First it was Roseline then it was Juliet. Romeo really doesn't know what he want out of life. And if it was up to me I wouldn't have killed Tybalt because if your marrying Juliet why would you kill her cousin. That's just a reason for the Capulet family not  to like and have a reason that Juliet can't marry Romeo.
