The book divergent follows a girl named Beatrice "Tris" as she explores her identity in a community that defines people by their personalities and jobs that are related to the five factions (Dauntless - Amity - Erudite - Abnegation - Candor). Theis factions stop people from bieng different or independent and they certainly choose people's lifestyles and personalities. Tris tries to stop this and give freedom to all people with help from her beloved Tobias Eaton "Four".
