Once you have a chosen general topic for your research paper, you should do all the following except
a. take a side on the issue and stick to it.
b. ask questions like who? what? when? where? why? how? to you narrow your topic down.
c. make a list of evidence from both sides of the issue so you can be sure to keep both sides even.
