Read these sentences in past simple and present perfect simple. Correct the sentences that have incorrect tenses. There are two sentences that do not need correcting.
1 When I was a child, I've been very little, but I've grown quite a bit since then.
2 I've been very busy with studying last week because I had two tests.
3 I recently started studying Spanish, because I think it's a really cool language.
4 My family lived in Brazil from 2005 to 2008, but we've moved back to Croatia in December 2008.
5 We've started primary school seven years ago. I can't believe we've been at school for so long.
6 My dog Bonnie has been born in 2015, and she's been with our family for five years already.
7 So far, I've never made a mistake when using past simple or present perfect simple. Not bad!
8 My teacher just finished explaining why we shouldn't use past simple when we're not sure when the action
happened.
9 Last year we've been in Year 6, and this year we're finally in Year 7.
10 I've just finished this task, and now I think I understand the difference between using past simple and
present perfect simple.​
