PLEASE HELP ASAP "Failing and Flying" includes the lines, "Everyone forgets that Icarus also flew./ It's the same when love comes to an end." Then the poem's
speaker describes lovely, fleeting moments from an ended relationship and asks: how can they say the relationship failed? Gilbert's speaker
counters "I believe Icarus was not failing as he fell / but just coming to the end of his triumph."
Do you agree or disagree with Gilbert--does an intimate relationship need to last forever, or ever after, to be successful?
