Read the excerpt from the story Winter Driving:

(8) With the windshield clear, Jesper got back into the car, which had warmed up since his initial entrance. He backed out of the parking spot and started driving down the street. He turned on the radio and turned it up loud to hear the latest report on the road conditions and the weather for his drive home.

(9) "This massive storm will be with us for the next few days," the radio announcer said. "The cold front has created dangerous driving conditions throughout the area. If you're out on the road, be careful and drive smart. If you can help it, don't go out in this storm at all," she warned.

(10) Jesper had to get home, but he wasn't too worried because he had always been a cautious driver. He told himself that he would go slowly and take his time. He didn't have to be home at a specific time, which helped. The first half of the drive went off without a hitch, no trouble at all. Although he did see one car on the side of the road, it didn't seem like they were in distress, so he kept driving along. They probably were just nervous and decided to pull over. However, Jesper wasn't nervous. He had driven in treacherous conditions before, and he knew how to handle his vehicle.

What would change if the author didn't include the information from paragraph 10? (2 points)
Jesper wouldn't figure out how to drive in such dangerous conditions.
Jesper wouldn't know what to do when the road gets treacherous.
The reader would not know that Jesper is a cautious and sensible driver.
