Today we are going to create a poem according the guidelines listed below. You will be randomly selected to read your poem to the class.
Instructions:
Step 1-open the book to any page between chapters 1-7. If you are reading the electronic version, choose a
page between those chapters as well.

Step 2-Choose 12-15 fragments that stand out to you. Fragments are parts of a sentence.
Step 3-Organize your fragments into poem format, rearranging where needed for clarity.
You may leave out words, but you may not add any words to the poem.

Your poem should be between 50 and 100 words.
Step 4-List images present in the poem and text that helped your process.
