In this activity, you will write a narrative about an internal conflict that you faced and describe how you resolved the conflict.
Part A
Introduction: Hook

A: Have you ever really struggled to make a decision? I sure did. It was springtime. I was 11 years old and living with my grandma and grandpa in Florida. The weather was wonderful. I couldn’t wait to try out for spring sports!

B: That spring I had to decide between playing soccer and volleyball. I loved both sports but knew that if I wanted to be able to perform at my best, I would have to choose one over the other.

I will always remember this time in my life because it taught me to trust my instincts. Even though I still enjoy volleyball, soccer is my true love. I’m glad that I’ve stuck with it all these years.
