Assuming that it is a true or false question, I must say that the statement "Topics that are too broad cover too much information" is true.

Just one topic may entail a wide range of information if it is broad since it can be related to many other topics who are virtually connected to much more information pertaining to other topics.

To put it simply, imagine that you will deal with veganism, and you have to do a deep research about it, you will have to reasearch about what it is, what impact it has on health, on nature, on the plantet and that would lead you to find much more information than expected.
