This house for a long
Petty criminals by profession, Harry and Marv approached the large brick house. The crooks had
that this was going to be
time. The house was owned by the richest man in the neighborhood, and Harry's frequenti
their "biggest score yet" made Marv rub his hands together in anticipation. They slowly snuck towards the front gate, but
as the mailman drove past the driveway. After waiting a while, they quietly entered through the front door, and walked
through the
vestibule
. Marv was taller and more
agile
than Harry, and tiptoed quickly upstairs to look for video games.
Being more
Harry went into the dining room to look for silver. After ransacking the house, Marv turned on the
kitchen water faucet to flood the house. It was their ritual after every burglary. Arms laden with stolen goods, Harry and Marv walked
towards their van. Two police cruisers suddenly pulled into the driveway. Not being one to
instigate trouble, Marv quickly gave
himself up, but Harry tried to run away! The officers yelled "Freeze". They were quickly arrested for thirteen break-ins. The police had a
assertion
of their misdeeds because Marv always left the water running at each house they robbed. In addition to the stolen
goods, the pair were charged with destruction of property for the
ravages
caused by the water damage.
