Adapting to a new a culture may be difficult for many people. It may differ for each case. For example, if you travel a lot you would get very easily adapted to any environment. But, in Santiago’s case it was difficult. He felt as he couldn’t fit in and would watch the kids play through the window. This had a big impact on his life because he was getting left out; isolated. Many people might say he wasn’t getting left out because he could have just went and asked the other kids to play but, as stated earlier the kids were very different to him especially since he had just moved to that new area. He didn’t really know much about the culture they had. He dressed very different from them because he was not adapted to them. He didn’t just want to go up to them and ask “can I play with you” because he embarrassed and he considered the new kid no one payed much attention to.
