Would the following paragraph be appropriate for using in a research paper about Abraham Lincoln? Why or why not? Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He was a tremendous man who had compassion for all people. He wrote the Gettysburg Address and led the U. S. through the controversial Civil War. He worked diligently to abolish slavery. For these reasons, and many more, Abraham Lincoln is the ideal American President.
