august 23 1923

today I finally got my sled dogs. I've been trying to get a sled team ever since I came to Alaska in search of gold. I am hoping that I can find an area fairly nearby where I can find some. I leave on my expedition tomorrow since these dogs are already properly trained. I am hoping all goes well and that when I get home I can surprise my wife and daughter with our new riches.

september 13 1923

e A month has passed and still nothing. the days are getting colder and the dogs seem to be getting restless. They keep snapping at eachother and clearly want to finish this up. I still want to find some ore though and I have a strong feeling that we are getting closer. hopefully we will find something soon.

september 30 1923

We did it! We finally found some gold! I and so glad that we get to go home but I'm not sure what to do with the dogs. I've got one i really like though, his name is willy and I might keep him for my daughter. I just know she would love him. I will most likely sell the other dogs and get some money from that. I am so excited to get home to my family they will be so overjoyed.

i believe being nice to m family is the right thing to do. they are people too and the deserve the same respect i have. they are there for me when i need them. i believe i should always put my family first because that is just how life is suppose to be. i love each and every member of my family and i should respect and act like i do. i believe that being nice to your family makes it easier for them to be nice to you. thats why i believe what i do.
