Maraming suliranin ang kinakaharap ng mga pamilya sa ngayon. Isa na rito ang kakulangan sa materyal at pinansyal. Maraming pamilya ang hindi kumakain ng wasto at sapat na pagkain. Marami namang mabibili pero kung hindi sapat o wala kang pambili ay hindi ka naman makakabili. Ayaw namang magbigay ng sobrang pagkain ang mga negosyanteng mayayaman dahil ang katwiran ay aasa na lang ang mga taong ito sa mga sobra nila at baka hihina ang kanilang negosyo o mas masahol ay malulugi sila ng husto. At kung hindi na makakain ng tama, magkakasakit ang mga ito. Kaya hindi kataka-takang maraming pamilyang Pilipino ang nagkakasakit at namamatay sa kalaunan.
