You just finished reading excerpts from The Odyssey, an epic poemn filled with mythological characters. In this essay, you are asked to conduct research and write about one mythological character. Some mythological characters that you just read
about in the Odyssey on whom there is much information available as it relates to the writing prompt are: Odysseus, Zeus,
Poseidon, Apolo, Athena, and Penelope. You may choose to write about another mythological character, but you must
address all points of the writing prompt. Pay close attention to the writing prompt since it contains several instructions.

Write an informative essay about a character from ancient Greek mythology. Summarize the plot of the
myth and explain the cultural significance of the mythological character.
