In Act II, Scene 3, of The Diary of Anne Frank, Mrs. Frank has awoken to discover Mr. Van Daan stealing food from the pantry. A heated argument ensues, revealing behaviors in some characters that we have not seen up to this point. Consider the following quote from this scene: “We don’t need the Nazis to destroy us.
