I'll do it about Greg Heffley, seeing he is the main character.  In Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Wrecking Ball, the story starts of with Greg's great aunt Ruba dies. The character is not in grief, but instead he can't wait for the inheritance money. This shows that Greg is selfish. This is only one of many traits. Later in the book, a slew of unlucky things happen to him such as, when Greg is instructed to paint around his family's hot tub, he discovers a wasp's nest, Greg is stressed due to a school-wide test, and he details that a large hole has been cut in the side of the house, exposing an infestation of wasps and mice, and Later, Susan tells Greg that his school's funding is being cut due to low scores on the test, suggesting that they move neighborhoods to a new school district. Greg has a lot going on in his life, so one of his traits would be grit. He perseveres through any of his challenges, as you can see in the past few books. With the inheritance, they have a family meeting and decided to expand the kitchen. Since this construction is happening, Frank, Greg's dad, tries to teach Greg how to do chores around the house. This also shows that Greg is quite lazy, since his dad has to teach him how to do chores, showing that he does not do them much. As a result, Greg is of three traits, also many more; he is of Grit, Selfishness, and Laziness. He can have nicer traits, but these are the ones I found evaluating the book.

arah orne jewett first published "a white heron" in her 1886 collection, "a white heron and other stories." this short story tells the tale of what happens when sylvia, a 9-year-old girl living deep in the forest with her grandmother, meets a young hunter looking to capture, and kill, the white heron living in sylvia's woods. the climax occurs when sylvia must decide whether to him or protect the bird.

rising action

leading up to the climax of the story, the nameless young hunter befriends sylvia and her grandmother, mrs. tilly. he explains to mrs. tilly that he is bent on "stuffing and preserving" a little white heron that he believes lives near their cottage. mrs. tilly offers up that "[t]here ain't a foot o' ground" that sylvia doesn't know and suggests that she may be able to him find the bird.

climax

after following, but not really , the young hunter on his search for the heron, sylvia slips out of bed alone in the middle of the night to find the heron for herself. perched at the top of a gigantic pine tree, sylvia spots the heron, and its nest, in a dead hemlock tree across the way. the following morning she returns home to find her grandmother and the hunter waiting for her at the door. in the moment when she plans to tell the hunter where to find the heron, she suddenly decides to protect the heron and remain silent; even the promise of much needed money does not sway her.
