1. During the American Civil War, the US was divided into the North and South. Abraham Lincoln was the elected president at
the time. He ordered General George B. McClellan to attack the Southern army. When he failed to do so, Lincoln was deeply
furious with him. He wrote a letter to the general saying, “If you don’t want to use the army, I should like to borrow it for a
while. Yours respectfully, A. Lincoln.”

2. One of the industrial leaders who changed American society was Henry Ford. Born on a farm in Michigan in 1863,
he achieved some of the most radical improvements in automotive industry in the early 20th century. His outstanding
mechanical ability led him to become interested in the new automobiles in the early 1900s. Although he did not invent the
automobile, he improved upon everyone else’s designs.

build strong personal relationships. Secondly, it is more dynamic, that is, you can form smaller groups to dicsuss issues. When
it comes to disadvantages, the first is that in-person meetings are time consuming. Also, they can incur a lot of expenses on
the individuals and companies. Therefore, businesses must consider both sides before choosing how to meet.

6. Rambo is a strong, tough and formidable soldier. In the Vietnam War, he fights the communist Vietcongs and escapes many
deadly situations. During his term in Vietnam, he kills countless enemy soldiers. However, things do not go all so well for him
when he returns to the US. One day, while he is walking on the streets of his birthplace town, Bowie, Arizona, he is hit by a
flower pot that falls from a balcony and the great hero dies right on the spot.

Gagarin became the first person to orbit the Earth. During this period, the Soviet Union and the United States were rivals in a
struggle for power. So, the US intensified its efforts to catch up with the Soviet Union. It landed two astronauts on the moon
in 1969, which was followed by five more spacecrafts. Nowadays, we have turned our eyes on Mars.
