Part When you're mentioning scientific facts, you should always support the facts with credible sources,
Science does not show bias, but humans do. There are sites and articles that provide facts without proper
scientific evidence. You should avoid taking information from them. You must be able to identify reliable
sites so the data in your work is credible.
What is a credible source? Use sources that end in. gov (government sites), such as CDC. gov. They are
reliable sources. You can also use sites ending in. edu. They can be trustworthy, but sometimes the
information is written by students rather than scientists. Always find out who the author of the article is
before proceeding. Some. org and. com sites are credible, but you need to analyze the contents to verify
their authenticity. As you review sources for this activity, try to answer these questions:
• Who authored the article?
• Is this person an expert in the organisms you're studying?
• What's the purpose of the articl?
• Does the article state facts tha-Lientists can prove with evidence?
• Are there opinions in the article?
. How old is the article?
. Do other credible sources support the statements in this article?
Find some credible websites, and note the information they contain. Write down two or three sources
you'll use for your paper, and cite them using MLA (Modern Language Association) citation methods e.
