Mila and Nenita are best friends. Mila left their town in Romblon to work in Manila as a factory worker. Before Mila left, she requested Nenita to look
after Lando, Mila's boyfriend. Three years passed and Nenita and Lando had
not received any news from Mila.
Due to the terrible economic crisis that struck the country, Mila was among
the many Filipinos who got laid off from their jobs. Mila decided to go back
to Romblon, only to find out that her best friend had married Lando.

My opinion is that Nenita is a bad friend.

Explanation:

Mila leaves Romblon to find a job, or possibly get money for family/friends. She is perhaps feeling said, knowing she will have to leave her family and boyfriend. She leaves, sad, and find out that when she gets there a terrible economic crisis has been struck, and the whole point of her leaving is useless. And then when she gets back home, already heartbroken about her lost job, she finds that her 1 best friend has betrayed her and married her 1 true love. Her friend and her BF were probably the only things she was looking forward to seeing, besides family, but they betrayed her and Nenita cheated behind Mila's back. Nenita probably knew that, but still married Lando.
