Question 1 100 pts
According to Rachels, most people believe that passive euthanasia is morally preferable
to active euthanasia basically because passive euthanasia amounts to "letting die" while
active euthanasia amounts to "killing"; and clearly, someone might say, killing someone is
morally worse than letting someone die. Rachels disagrees. Please explain the case of
Smith and Jones and the bathtub drowning and how that example is supposed to
question the assumption that killing is worse than letting die.
