The Legend of the Hummingbird

Explanation:

Alida and Taroo fall in love after meeting by accident by a pool in the forest. Alida's father discovered their trusts and arranged a marriage to a man from their own tribe. The girl prayed to the gods to deliver her from this fate, and they complied by turning her into a red flower. Taroo, ignorant of her father's machinations and his lovers floral fate. He begged the gods to help him find her, and they once again obliged, changing him into a hummingbird. Legend has it that a hummingbird seen flying from flower to flower is Taroo still in search of his love.
