Please read the passage carefully and answer the following question. Health experts agree that fast food can be directly linked to the disturbing increases in obesity in the United States today. More and more Americans are pulling up to the drive-through every day. The fact that McDonald's and other chains offer cheap and convenient meals appeals to Americans. Many of us claim to be too busy to prepare our own food at home. They continue ordering artery-clogging foods and opting for the "biggie" fries and soda--willfully endangering their health with every trip. It is common knowledge that fast food will lead to obesity and a slew of other health problems. Still, Americans continue to visit fast-food restaurants in record numbers.
