There is a wide range of home automation products available on the market today. All are designed to monitor, control and automate the home to make life a little easier and safer. With wirelessly connected home automation products such as sensors, you have the ability to monitor your home regardless of whether you’re in it or away. You can do just about anything with a tap of a finger from adjusting the temperature on a thermostat, turning lights on and off, setting the security system, locking and unlocking doors, and you can even receive audio and video alerts or text messages notifying you of unusual activity or environmental changes within the home. A smart home is only really smart if hackers are kept out and have no chance of manipulating the system and gaining control of crucial functions. Despite this risk, do you think smart home technology is something homeowners should install to make their lives easier? Why or why not?
