Type your response in the box. What is the literal meaning of “Nothing Gold Can Stay”? Write a brief summary of the poem (three to four sentences). Use examples from the text in your response.

Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
