Assignment Deliver a Speech
Your speech should meet the following specifications:
• It should address a topic that interests you and that you know a lot about, presenting information that is accurate, reliable, and credible.
• It should begin with an introduction that captures the audience’s attention and includes a clear statement of the main thesis of the speech.
• It should contain a body of at least three separate, relevant, and comprehensive points in support of the main thesis.
• It should include at least three separate examples of rhetorical devices that support and enhance the content of the speech. One of these devices must be the use of parallel structure.
• It should be delivered effectively, with attention paid to adopting and maintaining the appropriate tone, pacing, and vocal emphasis throughout.
• It should be delivered while you maintain excellent posture and eye contact with the audience.
• It should take you between two and three minutes to deliver the speech.
